Music won't save you

^

Press Play

I was watching an episode
of How I Met Your Mother

thinking this was the best shit ever...

Honestly though, the episode was
pretty brilliant

cinematic

About half way through the show
I started to notice the laugh track

It wasn't so apparent at first

but soon, after every other sentence,
I noticed a laugh track
after every pun or set up
laugh track
I suddenly couldn't even follow the wit
laugh track

But I couldn't help but laugh along
Aware of this strange off-screen character
laughing with me

WYSIWYG

the elegance of simplicity

the complexity of intuition

we lined up in grandiose formations of zero, waiting our turn for the light

like tendrils of seaweed clinging to the side of a monstrous whale

the cold blinding white in all of its artificial splendor

gives no warmth but the light envelope us

attractive but ever elusive

intangible

Synthetic Soulmate

Hey, who are you?
I've been looking so long for you.
I found your picture and have searched every engine to drive me here
I've derived from my sources that you MUST be the one
 my true love
my compatible sympatico

Why must we linger on waves
spread thin amongst the frequencies of perpetual noise
so much distraction to keep me from you
but I know it is you, right?

Give me your limited attention
span it across my life
and I will be happy
enamored by the thought of you drifting
toward thoughts of me

my synthetic cause
to fight for you
with nothing but a keyboard and waning emotion
a last hurrah
against all doubters and haters and destroyers
of what has been
their futile acception that what WAS is the proclamation of what IS
but EVERYTHING changes
evolves

continuity of change is an ideal

Three Thumbs up!

As if I couldn't be any more stoked about Three Legged Legs Studio! They use 2D, digital, puppets even, and now they just released a new batch of projects where they created miniature backgrounds! Check out the link, as usual they show all the cool behind-the-scene stuff

Yagi the Buddhist

Yes, it's been too long since I posted last. I feel that every post begins like this.... part of it has to do with my busted scanner, the other part is mainly forgetting that I have a blog.
So this is my first attempt at painting inside photoshop. It's an idea I've been brewing for "Yagi the Buddha" a cartoon series about a buddhist monk who comes to America to educate the masses, only to become addicted to all the same proclivities that plague us. I still need to get used to the wacom tablet but mixing colors is pretty fun, especially when you have ctrl+z as a backup plan.
